Savona<\/p>\n
Hamlet is the tragedy we all think to be familiar with (\u201cTo be or not to be\u201d) and exactly for this reason the 2015 festival presents a different and unusual version of it. The subject of the festival, in fact, is the first text of Hamlet published in 1603 which discloses dramaturgic choices that are very different from the ones of the traditional version.<\/p>\n
The text, offers a harsh, effective and theatrically essential Hamlet and has been for a long time aim of discussion of what actually is the first \u201cQuarto\u201d of 1603 (a pirate version? The first Hamlet\u2019s draft? A version for the scene?). Through its settled practice of joyful divulgation, the festival took us to get familiar with this unique text and to see it on the stage, for the first time in Italy, at the Chiabrera Theatre on October 24th and 25th, 2015.<\/p>\n
